Truth Multi-Point (24 Series) Casement Window Lock (Right Hand)

The Truth Hardware (AmesburyTruth) right-hand multi-point casement window lock (24.84) features a low-profile design and is engineered to avoid curtain or blind interference when in the locked or unlocked position. The 24.84 casement window lock features extended "reach-out" capability providing a delayed locking operation that enables the first half of the handle's rotation to fully engage the keeper closest to the bottom of the window near the operator, while the second half of the handle's rotation then engages and pulls-in the keeper at the top of the sash.  

LOOK FOR THE STAMP

The Truth Hardware 24.84 Right-Handed Multi-Point Casement Lock is commonly found with 31401 or 31402 stamped on the linkage arm.

 TIP

To determine the handing (i.e. left hand or right hand) of this Truth Hardware multi-point casement window lock identify the side of the 24.84 series multi-point lock that the handle is on when the linkage arm is facing upward.  If the handle is on the left side of the multi-point lock when viewing the lock from the interior of the home you have a right-hand multi-point casement window lock.  If the handle is on right side of the multi-point lock when viewing from the interior of the home, this is a left-hand multi-point casement window lock. 

In most cases, the same conclusion can be made if you determine which side of the window the lock is on when viewing the window from the interior of the home. Left-handed for left side, right-handed for right side.
