Securistyle Standard Defender Window Hinges are high performance friction hinges designed for both casement (side hung) and awning (top hung) windows.

  • Assymetric location system provides reliable and accurate closure.
  • Assymetrical vent arm when tested to BS 6375-1.
  • Extended end cap on Standard profile improves weather seal and draught protection.
  • Enclosed end cap helps prevent ingress of debris and provide increased cavity tolerance.
  • Multiple variants for performance, corrosion, and design considerations.

Standard Profile characteristics:

  • Extended enclosed end cap to improve weather sealing and draught proofing performance.
  • 13mm (~ 33/64") stack height.
    • For increased stack height, please see the Highline variant.

Designed for deeper profiles with cavities ranging between 16mm (~ 5/8") and 17mm (~ 43/64").

  • H6 denotes a stack height of 16 mm.
  • H7 denotes a stack height of 17 mm.

Engineered for narrower hardware channels.

• Only available for 13 mm stack height. 6" not included.

Timber Profile characteristics:

  • Reduced height end cap to minimize required routing when compared to Standard profile.
  • 13mm (~ 33/64") stack height.

Available in two corrosion resistant finishes:

Standard grade of stainless steel for Securistyle Defender Standard window hinges.
Characteristics of note include:

  • Cost effective.
  • No nickel included in the composition.
  • Typically more magnetic than 304 SS.

Available as an upgrade. In comparison to 430 SS, 304 SS is:

  • More expensive.
  • More corrosion resistant (nickel: 8-10.5% composition traditionally).
  • Easier to press or draw.
  • Typically less magnetic.
